Aim
To assess candidates through direct observation and under-pinning knowledge to enable them to achieve CABWI level 2 Certificate in Utilities Metering Operations
Objectives
To achieve the full Certificate the learner must achieve 15 credits from the two mandatory units, plus three optional units (at least one from group 1 and one from group 2) from the list below:
Mandatory units
Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety in the water industry
Resolve customer service problems
Optional Units group 1
Carry out meter reading activities
Remove,Install and commission meters
Optional Units group 2
Conducting metering surveys
Rectify minor metering installation defects
Conduct ancillary operations for metering purposes
Content
The course will cover

Assesor observations and underpinning knowledge questions - completion of a portfolio of work based evidence
Pre-requisites
Learners must hold a National Water Hygiene card and have relevent experience of metering activities
