All personnel undertaking work on the UK Gas Networks

Aim

To provide basic Health & Safety awareness training for all personnel undertaking work on gas network sites and premises within the UK Gas Networks.

Objectives

Candidates to achieve the Energy & Utility Skills Utilities SHEA Gas card which is a mandatory requirement for EU Skills regsitration for personnel undertaking work on the UK Gas Networks

Content

Ø  The course involves 12 assessed modules, including:-

CORE MODULES

Ø  You and the law

Ø  You and hazards to your health

Ø  Protecting you

Ø  The working environment

Ø  Our Environment

Ø  Incident procedures

Ø  Equipment

 

SECTOR SPECIFIC MODULES
 

Ø  Network/AGI Hazards to health

Ø  Working in the highway

Ø  Excavations

Ø  AGI Working Environment

Ø  AGI Machinery and equipment

 

 

Sector specific modules are applicable to both Network operations and above ground installations (AGI)

 

Methods

Trainer led theory sessions, followed by EU Skills multi choice assessment.
