Aim

To provide an overview of the Australian Gas Network and associated operations and activities.

Objectives

On completion of the course, candidates will be able to: Identify the current Australian Network Construction. State the various pressure regimes. State the rationale for stringent pre commissioning tests. Identify asset materials and fittings, used on the Network. Identify current jointing techniques.

         Mainlaying

         Servicelaying

Theory & hands on practical sessions

Pre-requisites

Existing knowledge and experience of utilities operations would be an advantage. Candidates should wear comfortable casual dress and provide overalls, gloves, eye protection and safety footwear for practical activities.
