Water Operatives identified as potential team leaders, installing, repairing & maintaining water mains & services within the UK networks.
To provide skills, knowledge and competence to enable individuals to install and maintain assets (water mains & services) to national standards.
Candidates to achieve CABWI Level 2 Diploma in Network Construction Operations (Water) - Repair & Maintenance leading to Energy & Utility Skills accreditation, which is the recommended minimum requirement for individuals undertaking repair & maintenance activities on the UK water network. To enable candidates to demonstrate competence against the EUS framework, allowing Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS) status to be achieved with Lloyd’s Register.
Candidates must obtain 44 credits by completing all of the mandatory units associated with this qualification
Further optional units are also available as part of the scheme.
This qualification is an opportunity for progression for learners who have already completed the Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water).
The course will cover:
Trainer/Assessor led theory and practical sessions, followed by awarding body written and practical assessments
Candidates must possess a current National Water Hygiene qualification, and SHEA Water is mandatory for EU Skills registration. Candidates should preferably hold current NRSWA accreditation (minimum units 1 - 6). Additional training can be provided where required. Candidates need to have a reasonable level of practical experience within the industry which will be assessed prior to training commencement.
