Training for the National Health Service (NHS)
Utilise Healthcare staff have experience of working within an NHS environment and are well aware of the difficulties the NHS face in releasing staff for training. Utilise NVQ’s are therefore uniquely individualised, with the training programmes and on-site delivery specifically tailored to meet the training needs of individual departments.
A fresh approach to Training for Health Service Support Staff.
“Our training is provided in house and on site. You want the training at midnight…We’ll provide it!”
So says Utilise Divisional Director Health Care, Caron
Gregory. With over 20 years of hands on experience
of working and managing in the National Health
Service (NHS), she is spearheading this mission to
break new ground.
“My colleagues and I appreciate the flexibility required of a highly stressed uniquely focused organisation,” she says. “That’s why we are providing a specially tailored programme to suit the NHS. Our training is provided in house and on site.”
Fully funded: The training is being delivered by a specialist team of trainers and assessors with health service experience and is fully funded if staff are over 19, it is their first NVQ and they have less than 5 GCSE’s. The content will depend on what a particular department needs but the expectation is that NVQ’s will be completed in 3 to 4 months. A positive selling point is the fact that the NVQ’s are matched to the key skills framework, which can enable staff with these better qualifications, to get through the gateways for pay increases. “Our training is not about a paper exercise or ticking boxes. We appreciate how critical it is for the future health and welfare of the community, that those we train feel the benefit of an approach that results in better care.”
